The Expanded Medical Capacity grant they wrote for us scored a 94 out of 100 possible points, and the Dental Expansion grant they wrote scored a 99.

We worked with SHS to complete our policy and procedure manual, which is approximately 1,000 pages. They provided excellent quality work that demonstrated their strong command of the subject matter.

Trudy Brown Ripin, MPH
Founder and President

Trudy is a graduate of Stanford University and the Harvard School of Public Health. She has been an independent community health consultant since 2000.

Prior to her consulting work, Trudy spent three years at a Federally Qualified Health center in Connecticut. Trudy also previously worked for a Medicaid Managed Care organization in Massachusetts, providing services to their membership of over 70 community health centers.

Molly K. Gwisc, MPH
Senior Associate

Molly has a Masters in Public Health from the University of Connecticut and more than 20 years of grant writing experience. She has extensive knowledge of FQHC requirements and strategies to maintain compliance. Molly has particular expertise at developing comprehensive needs assessments and using these to identify gaps in services. She also has in-depth expertise with data collection and is skilled in the use of the HRSA Health Center Program GeoCare Navigator.

Laura Provost Brown
Finance & Contract Coordinator

Laura has over 25 years of financial service experience. She joined SHS in 2010 to oversee finances, client communications and contracts, enhancing the company’s operations with her skill, professionalism, and compassion.
